News Bites – 27.07.11

From now on, I’m going to be compiling stories and info not quite big enough to have their own posts (and they’re quite a few) into posts I’m calling News Bites (bad pun, sorry).

  • Starting with Comic Con, which we’re still getting interviews from, Megan from TV is my Pacifier has put up a nice little article where she spoke to the Teen Wolf cast and creators. Regarding Tyler’s character Scott and Stiles, Jeff Davis said, “He’s the Sam to Scott’s Frodo. Every hero needs a sidekick, someone to help them with their moral compass. Sam was the true hero in The Lord of the Rings, and Stiles is the hero this season. The plan… is to have Scott work towards being a hero in season two.” Tyler also said he has no qualms going shirtless. Full article and some pics here.
  • I finally found some footage from the Comic Con Panels. No Teen Wolf yet, but you can view most of the ‘Super Supernaturals’ panel that Tyler sat on with the likes of John Barrowman, Britt Robertson and Thomas Dekker. Unfortunately the camera focused mostly on John Barrowman, but you still see bits of Tyler, especially when he’s the one talking. For what it’s worth, it was a fun panel, and John puts Tyler on the spot somewhere near the end of the 2nd video.
    Part 1, Part 2 (for a better shot of Tyler blushing at the end of Part 2, watch this, it’s worth it!), Part 3 and Part 4. There are a few other angles on Youtube, but none of them are as long as this set.
