Check out the first look at the Anti-Bullying PSA Tyler and the rest of Lost in Kostko did a couple of weeks ago.
iDanceMachine Studios in association with My Life My Power, a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminate the cycle of bullying, is proud to announce the world premiere of the 3D Music Video, “It’s Nothing Personal” directed by Dan Harris.
Thousands of fans/attendees are expected to attend the October 22nd star-studded, purple carpet event to be held at AMC-16 Theater Complex in the Burbank Promenade. Along with the premiere of the cutting-edge music video, the event will premiere the first ever 3D anti-bullying PSA for My Life My Power. The PSA (also directed by Dan Harris), stars some of Young Hollywood’s brightest young celebs including Tyler Posey (TEEN WOLF) and his band Lost in Kostko, Booboo Stewart (Twilight: Breaking Dawn), Fivel Stewart, Cassie Scerbo (Make it or Break it), Renee Olsted (Secret Life of an American Teenager), Lil’ Romeo, Vanessa Lengies (GLEE), International teen popstar KEANA, Stella Hudgens, and Step Up 3-D’s Rick Malambri.
WHEN: Saturday, October 22, 2011 WHERE: AMC-16 at The Burbank Promenade, 125 E. Palm Avenue, Burbank RED CARPET ARRIVALS: 3:30 P.M.
Tyler, Dylan O’Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Crystal Reed and the entire Teen Wolf ensemble have been nominated in the 1st ever Youth Rock Awards, which honors entertainers in music, acting and dance under the age of 25.
Unfortunately the nominations have put Posey and Hoechlin against each other, but it’s okay, you can (and should) vote every day by registering with your Facebook or Twitter, so show them both some love and support the show! The competition’s pretty stiff, and any win is a victory.
Also, Tyler’s band, Lost in Kostko, announced on Twitter that they will be performing at the award show, which airs live on December 7th! Congrats guys and good luck!
The band and their manager, Paul Fox, chats with local LA newspaper, the Signal, about starting up, playing shows and the future.
“I saw fans singing our lyrics. It was so cool, and something I always envisioned,” Posey said. “Yeah, you could hear it while we were playing,” Bauer piped in. “It was like a choir singing to us,” Ramirez said.
“Funny, my dad used to add a fan track to our videos, and now he doesn’t have to anymore,” Gertsch said.
While Posey, an actor who currently stars on MTV’s “Teen Wolf,” might be somewhat used to the adulation, the rest of the band is enjoying its newfound fame.
“We had fans that flew in from Toronto. That’s pretty cool for a young band,” Ramirez said with a big smile.
“I’ve been to a lot of shows at the Roxy, and you could feel their energy. I felt the air moving and the ions in the room; it was like a pulse,” Fox said. “They’re really doing it from the heart; they’re not just goofing around. Well, they do goof around, but when it’s time, they get to work.”
If Fox has his way, Lost in Kostko will be opening up for bigger bands, perhaps even its heroes.
“If I could get to Blink 182, and they turn around and take these guys out on the road, that would be amazing,” Fox said. “There’s something really fresh about Lost in Kostko. I think they could go straight to the moon.”
