I’m so. EXCITED!
So happy Teen Wolf is almost back! That means more press.
First interview is from The Insider, which talked to Tyler, Dylan and Crystal about the new season at the MTV Upfronts on Thursday.
“Season two is 10,000 times better than the first season in every single way,” Tyler told me yesterday at MTV’s Upfront press junket. “Every episode has big moments of action or emotion — I really think the fans are going to freak out.”
And it sounds like Scott & Alison ‘shippers will do a fair amount of freaking as well, since Crystal revealed that the two start off in a good place despite learning that her boyfriend is a werewolf and her family has been hunting them for centuries. “She’s still very much in love with Scott but her dad intercepts them in the season premiere and says they can’t ever see each other again,” Crystal says, hinting at a major Romeo & Juliet vibe. “But eventually something really horrible happens and she takes a complete turn.”
When I asked if this means she’ll embrace the family business, Crystal smiled and said, “Absolutely. She starts to follow in her aunt’s footsteps this season a lot, which is so much fun.”
Also having fun in season two is Derek — according to Tyler, the character is a lot more badass and a lot funnier now that he’s the new Alpha.

On a fun note, Latina Magazine asked Tyler about his character’s development, and his 5 favorite things for Cinco De Mayo.
How has your character grown compared to the first season?
In the first season Scott was kind of a wimp, I thought. He’s just this kind who wants to be noticed and he finally gets all this attention, but he’s a werewolf so he doesn’t know how to deal with it all. He’s just complaining all of the time…. He’s now dealing with it and that matures him in a way… He’s just maturing and turning into a little dude – a little man. (Laughs). We know Cinco de Mayo is coming up and although it’s not Mexican Independence Day, we wondered: what are your five favorite Mexican things?
Wow! I would have to say Salma Hayek. From Dusk Til Dawn is one of my favorite movies. Is Antonio Banderas Mexican? No. He’s Spanish.
No! Well, he plays my favorite Mexican on-screen. (Laughs) My house looks like a hacienda. It’s bright yellow and red with bright dishes and decorations everywhere…so I really like my house. My mom makes great Mexican food and my grandma makes amazing tamales!
Full Interview over at Latina.
In this special episode, the show looks at the making of some of its recent Punk’d episodes, talking to the celebrities involved. Tyler and Bam Magera talk about Tyler’s episode in the clip below.
I added a few HD caps here.

MTV announced today premiere dates for its returning hit series “Teen Wolf” and “Awkward,” as well as the debut of the highly anticipated new series “Snooki & JWOWW” at its annual Upfront Presentation at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.
The second season of “Teen Wolf” premieres in two-parts, with part one kicking off on Sunday, June 3 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT, immediately following the “2012 MTV Movie Awards,” and part two debuting the following night, on Monday, June 4, in its regularly scheduled 10:00 p.m. ET/PT timeslot.
MTV also highlighted its “storytelling without borders” strategy that looks to engage audiences across every platform as demonstrated through “Teen Wolf: The Hunt.” The new “Teen Wolf” social experience will live on Facebook and other platforms and will allow fans to “friend” and interact with the show’s characters in real time within the context of a choose-your-own-adventure mystery. “Teen Wolf: The Hunt” will feature a completely original storyline, written by the “Teen Wolf” team of writers, while also serving as a complementary online experience to the television series. The multi-platform experience will launch on Monday, June 4, the night of the show’s regular time period debut.
