MTVX and MEAN Supervideo are back with a new music video featuring “Our Deal” by Best Coast, directed by Drew Barrymore and starring Chloe Moretz, Tyler Posey, Miranda Cosgrove, Alia Shawkat, Donald Glover, and Shailene Woodley.
Drew Barrymore’s Supervideo overlays the music of Best Coast into a timeless convergence of inspiration from West Side Story, Romeo & Juliet, and Style Wars.
While Lucky (Tyler Posey) hails from the Day Trotters graffiti crew, Veronica (Chloe Moretz) is from rival gang the Night Creepers. As they fall in love one day, they are torn apart by the gangs’ rivalry and the unfortunate beating of fellow Night Creeper (Miranda Cosgrove) led by Day Trotters (Donald Glover and Shailene Woodley). This begins a turf war that ends tragically for the two lovers.
I’ve added 3 scans of Tyler and the Teen Wolf cast in TV Guide’s Comic Con special issue. Please credit http://tyler-posey.com if you’re going to repost thanks.
KSite interview from Comic Con (we also get a little bit more info on Tyler’s upcoming projects)
Is there going to be more conflict between Stiles and Scott in the future?
DYLAN: I think that that’ll get toyed with more next season, because we did have that one episode where we were kind of on the rocks. It’s the first time you actually really see Stiles get pissed at Scott.
TYLER: I don’t think we’re going to have a falling out. Stiles hated me for a little bit in Episode – four, is it? Five? Six? Five and six. And eight.
TYLER: I hope not. We have too good a relationship on that show.
DYLAN: I wouldn’t even be helping him out at all. I’d be running for my life, right, if I didn’t actually love him like I love him.
What are you doing in your summer downtime?
TYLER: I’ve already taken all the downtime I need. I’ve got three movies that I’m going to be working on. One, I just started before we came here. I’m going to finish it when we go back. It’s a very small, not so much a small role, just a small schedule, and then I start another one which is being referred to as a Mexican Clerks. It’s called Taco Shop, and I’m really excited to do that. And there’s another one called U.F.O. that I’m going to be working on. And the one that I already started working on is called White Frog. I’ve also been playing a lot in my band, Lost in Kostko. We’re all doing stuff.
Tyler Posey has some big shoes to fill. Question is, has he got big enough feet?
Watch our video interview with the Teen Wolf star talking about getting the part and how he thinks he’s living up to the original Teen Wolf, Michael J Fox. Tough gig.

Ever since they released their debut disc, Crazy for You, last summer, Cali fuzz-poppers Best Coast have become your favorite “cool” celebrity’s favorite “cool” band, championed by celebs from Miranda Cosgrove to Jimmy Fallon (and just about everyone in between).
So, it should come as no surprise that the Coast’s new supervideo for Crazy for You track “Our Deal” is quite the celebrified thing, featuring cameos from the likes of Donald Glover, Alia Shawkat, Chloë Moretz and Tyler Posey … and as an added bonus, it’s directed by the long-reigning Queen of Hollywood Cool: Drew Barrymore.
And while the full “Our Deal” video won’t premiere until August 2, we’re proud to present you with a 30-second sneak peek of the clip right now. And judging from what we’ve seen so far, much like Best Coast’s music, the vid pulls heavily from ’50s-style teen dramas — everything from “Rebel Without a Cause” to “Grease” — with Moretz (the breakout star of “Kick-Ass”) and Posey (he’s the dude from MTV’s “Teen Wolf”) portraying starstruck lovers who just happen to be members of rival gangs, the “Day Trotters” and the “Night Creepers.”
Will Moretz and Posey’s love prove stronger than their colors? How many switchblade fights will we see? And how awesome will the inevitable “drag race through the riverbed of the L.A. riverbed” scene be? You’ll just have to wait and see, when Best Coast’s “Our Deal” video premieres in full on MTV August 2.
“Supervideo” gives unique filmmakers the opportunity and artistic license to create a multitude of music video formats: short form narrative, montage, animation, abstract, and others, to the rhythm and beat of today’s most exciting music.
In the videos below, Tyler sat down to have a quick chat with Eric Zuley of The EZShow about Teen Wolf, Michael J Fox, his new movie ‘White Frog’, dating and … hoverboards, amongst other things. He also gives some details on a couple of upcoming projects, including a movie called ‘Taco Shop’, which he described as a ‘Mexican Clerks’ and another one called UFO which he’ll be starting on soon.
When MTV News caught up with Dylan O’Brien, Crystal Reed and Tyler Posey before their panel at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend, the energetic trio had so much to say that they had a hard time letting one another speak. They also had a hard time explaining the finer plot points of their series (what the Alpha effect will be, for example), but Tyler gets an A for effort for bringing up an educational sun/universe/galaxy comparison.
“We find out who [the Alpha] is soon, and as of right now, there’s only one,” Tyler said of Monday’s big reveal. “I think there can only be one Alpha, right?” he added when asked if there will be only one. “I have no idea.”
“We don’t know that much about our own show,” Dylan joked.
Crystal suggested that maybe there is one Alpha per pack, a theory which went over well with the boys.
“[One] per pack, that makes sense,” Tyler said. “It’s like a sun for a universe—no, a galaxy.”
“Like a family with one dad,” Crystal said.
“Little galaxies within the universe,” Dylan added. “Or no, little universes within the galaxy.”
Moving away from the slightly unsuccessful space comparisons, I then asked the young stars what kind of action they hope their characters will get into during season two.
“I want Allison to be evil,” Crystal said. “I think it would be so much fun.”
“Whoa. What kind of evil?” Dylan asked.
“Like demented, schizo, wolf evil,” Crystal answered.
“I think you have to develop that from an early stage,” Dylan offered. “You can’t just [jump into it].”
“Oh believe me, my performance was layered with all these things,” Crystal promised with a smile. “Trust me.”
